This is fast becoming the most popular trend in exercise today. With CrossFit, there are multiple exercises that are functional and are done at a fast pace to help push you to new levels of fitness that you have not reached before. There are many different pieces of equipment that you will need in order to do CrossFit exercises so it may just as cheap to go to a gym and join a CrossFit exercise class. These pieces of equipment that you need are essential and you should make sure that you are getting the highest quality so working out will be comfortable for you and you will want to workout and not use the exercise equipment as coat hangers or dust catchers.

In addition to exercise equipment you need to make sure that you have the proper clothes for working out comfortably, including the right shoes.  The clothing should be loose, not tight, and enable you to move around.  One of the first pieces of equipment that you need is rubber flooring, which comes in a variety of sizes and colors.  You need this to give you flooring space while you exercise that is non-slip to prevent any falls.  You should also get a cushion mat to make doing squats, abdominal crunches, and push-ups easier.

When you start using heavy weights you will need to get a bucket with chalk that you can put on your hands to help prevent blistering.  You can also get a good pair of lifting gloves instead that will protect the skin on your hands and give you a good grip when you do weightlifting routines.  You might also consider other pieces of support equipment in addition to the gloves such as elbow supports, ankle supports, and knee supports.

Another essential piece of equipment is pull-up bars so you need to make sure that you have someplace to install them that will not be in the way.  The bar must be a good sturdy one.  You will also need a small medicine ball for the exercises that involve your abdominal muscles.  You can also use the small medicine ball when you are doing sumo squats and slam ball plus when you do squats and lunges for added weight.

You will also need a kettle ball, which is like a metal ball that has a handle on top.  This piece of equipment may be hard for some to have because they do not have the room.  This piece of equipment is a climbing rope, which are used during your workout strengthening your upper body. Make sure that it is a good climbing rope that will absorb the perspiration from your body enabling you to get a good grip and it will not give you splinters.  A rope that will be easy for you to get and use is the jump rope, which is used a lot for beginner exercises.  Jumping rope is a great cardiovascular exercise that will help to improve your stamina.  You will also need weight and barbell plates, a squat rack, and plyo boxes.
